Forever Fit - In Motion Fitness' Senior Program
As we age, our fitness needs and goals change. Exercise
is safe, fun and beneficial for people of all ages.
In fact, you are never too old to exercise! At In Motion
Fitness, it is our mission to provide a longer and more
enjoyable life for our seniors by expanding their awareness
and their involvement in health and fitness activities.

In Motion Fitness always offers free
blood pressure testing.
Exercise Benefits
Exercise helps control blood pressure, high blood sugar
levels, body weight and cholesterol levels. It can also
help reduce the risk of heart disease and strokes. Exercise
can also help manage back and arthritis pain, while
enhancing balance and flexibility. Other benefits include:
increased bone mass, reduction of osteoporosis risk,
increased endurance, improved digestion, sleep and stress
management, decreased depression, improvement in mental
acuity and immune system.
Aquatics
In Motion Fitness offers a canopy-covered pool that
allows our seniors to exercise in an 84-degree pool
without the threat of UVA or UVB waves damaging their
skin. Two spas are available for relaxation and socialization.
One spa is set at a lower temperature to accommodate
our members' preferences and specific health needs.
Aqua classes incorporate aqua aerobics, water walking,
aqua sculpt, Pilates and yoga all in our specialized
pool.
Social Activities
In Motion Fitness organizes many social activities
specifically for our senior members and guests are always
welcome! Potlucks, educational speakers, ice cream socials,
Holiday Tea and cookies, Bidwell Park walks, and Senior
Appreciation Day are just a few of the great activities
we offer for our senior members to socialize.

IMF Personal Trainers are available to design an exercise
program to meet your unique health needs.
Classes
We have classes designed specifically for our members
who are 55 plus! Aqua and aerobic classes offer a fun
way to exercise and meet other seniors. Forever Fit
low impact classes, senior yoga, line-dancing, beginning
yoga, and Tai Chi are just a few of the ways to exercise
for health at In Motion Fitness. Our classes are always
updated to meet our senior member's health and social

Specialized Equipment
Keiser Equipment is designed to use air pressure to
generate resistance (no stacked weights). Seniors enjoy
these machines because they are easy to get on and off
and allow for upright seating. Members can train one
arm or leg or both arms and legs at one time. The body's
joints and connective tissues enjoy the "no-shock" loading
feature of this equipment. Cybex equipment has been
designed for our senior members also.
